According to his statements, the lack of multi-touch is connected not only with the software component of the device, but with its computer components. It is said also that the issue of software updates planned, including - and updates the OS device. 

Thus, even if you put the new firmware and other updates - multi-touch at the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 will not.
