South Korean company LG Electronics finally released a panel with built-in solar battery, designed for smartphone GD510, which, incidentally, went on sale in autumn last year. According to the developers, GD510 is the most compact handheld device with a 3-inch screen. The gadget is made in monoblock form factor, is equipped with touch screen with a resolution of 240х400 pixels (WQVGA), 3-megapixel camera, Bluetooth-module, media player and 8 GB of internal memory.
To date, the panel, replacing the battery door, sold only in Germany. One hopes that will soon be available accessories and other countries. It is new for 50 dollars.
