Nokia will not use the Symbian smartphones in the N-series

The Finnish company Nokia announced that the flagship N-series smart phones will be based solely on the platform MeeGo. Model Nokia N8 become the latest smart phone lines that are running Symbian, on the basis of which will now be built only low-cost phones. 

The new operating system MeeGo represents a modification of the Nokia Maemo platform and the Intel Moblin, based on the kernel Linux.

Recall that until 2007, when he saw the light of iPhone, Symbian has been the market leader. In 2008, Nokia has full control of Symbian and opened the source code, but the interest from independent developers that have not caused.
